iPhone developer's Journey

 
 
That's it, it's the first day of this journey. I've got some money left from my last summer job and that's a good thing because i'll have to buy a bunch of things if I want to get Started.  Three things are obvious. First i Have to order a mac so I went to Apple's website to chek out their stuff. After reading a couple reviews on the web, like this one http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2009/feb/10/gameculture-apple, i decided to order the cheapest MacMini available. I've add 1gb of ram so I now have 2gb. I decided to use all the PCs stuff i alreay have to make it run like my screen, keyboard and mouse. This way it cost me less and if i have trouble with anything then i'll buy Mac acessories. 817$ are now gone away. I can't go back anymore. I should receive it in about 2 weeks so around May 4th.


Then i bought this book called iPhone SDK developpement; Building an iPhone Applications. It's written by Chris Adamson and Bill Dudney with Marcel Molina.  It's seem ok since it leads you from the beginning to the end.  Well i hope it's a great book since it cost me 60$.  I also orederd the "Learn to program" e-book by Chris Pine. This book (recommended by Bill Dudney, on of the author of the first book I ordered), should give me a good base in programming. This version is only 16.50 so it's a pretty good deal. Last but not least i purchased the apple certificate for developpers. this way i'll be able to try my apps directly on my phone and distribute them on the AppStore. I didn't write a thing yet and there's already 993$ gone away.

Well I'm now ready to go and as soon as I receive my computer, and as soon as i finish school for the summer (which should be around the same date), I'll start learning. That's it for today and as soon as I got news and stuff to tell i'll write it here.
